The Government of India is raising significant funds today through an auction of dated government securities managed by the Reserve Bank of India (RBI). Valued at ₹32,000 crore, this auction is a crucial component of the government's market borrowing program aimed at funding its expenditures. The offering includes a re-issue of the 6.36% Government Security (GS) 2031 for ₹21,000 crore and the 7.71% GS 2066 for ₹11,000 crore. Both institutional and retail investors, the latter through the RBI Retail Direct platform, are eligible to participate. The auction, conducted using a multiple price method, saw competitive and non-competitive bids submitted electronically today, with results announced by end of day.
